Before I proceed I’d like to make it clear that I’m not going to criticize a one website but would like to explain the real truth behind these social book-marking websites. Today’s blog post is targeting to the basic fundamental of social book-marking website, and how they are treating to a small website owner. When I started my carrier in 2001 as SEO expert, nothing was there for us like webmasters, SEO and SEM experts but today we can see that lot of resources such as social bookmarking websites helping webmasters and SEM experts to gain more traffic for their websites.

The reason why I’m here is to expose out a real truth of these social book-marking websites. No doubt that some of the renowned websites such as digg.com, reddit.com, delisious.com, etc. has certainly got popularity in people around the world. As they are providing social book-marking services to the people who want to manage personal and legal website addresses in their accounts. So all in all everything is good, but nothing except keeping URL addresses.

I’m addressing to the Webmasters, SEOs and SEMs Experts. Shall you rankup your websites with the help of these social bookmarking websites. The answer would be NO! Can someone tell me why? No one I think, because no one yet has been gone after. I’ve observed that these social book marking websites are dealing in different segments and categories such as news, sports, software, web design, etc. but do not include small website news. Most of the diggs and reddits coming from the same websites which are normally being rectified by the certain websites and from the communities. For example a business news is always coming from CNN.com, BBC.uk, sports news from ESPN, (SuperSports-1,2,3,4), software announcement from Download.com, web design announcement from freelanceswitch.com and rentacoder.com, videos from YouTube.com and Myspace.com, etc. So where should we go, hell or where.

We only become a part of upcoming stories for a while, and you know better that there could be more than 2000 fresh stories in the upcoming section, so do you think that we get ranked amongst 2000 fresh stories which added each after one hour and continuously rolling down and most of the people do not get chance to read them carefully, and people who unfortunately pick up the post would not like to digg it as they only want to see top stories (no matter they are good or bad). So many questions coming to your minds, but nothing is there for you.

Come and let’s discuss it here whether there would be a chance for small website owners or not. Similarly reddit.com is playing the same role. You may be observed that if you post news, article, or a blog to dig.com network or reddit.com, it could not get such respect from the visitors what actually you needed. Even your article has more news than they could have on their websites. Perhaps you write extra ordinary good, but no clap. Am I right or wrong? Possibly wrong, but the fact is that you are still expecting and waiting for the arrival of sunny days. So please I’m worried about it, do participate here and let other people know the real truth. Because we post something or leaving something for these websites is just because of their trusted fundamentals. But we are treating as zilch, and then we probably go for a sticker on this issue. So are we treating well enough from them or not. Simple question come and discuss here.
